WASHINGTON – In August 2024, the U.S. Army Small Business Innovation Research Program unveiled several new contract opportunities focusing on technology areas such as artificial intelligence, autonomy and sensors.
Through the solicitations, small businesses can submit proposals to tackle critical Army priorities. Qualified nontraditional businesses should use the Defense SBIR|STTR Innovation Portal for proposal submissions.
Vendors interested in applying can find summaries of Phase I and Direct-to-Phase II Army SBIR contract opportunities below. The open submission window is between August 28 and October 1, 2024. For additional information, explore the individual topic pages linked within the contract names.

About the Army SBIR Program
The Army SBIR Program offers Phase I contract opportunities to small and nontraditional vendors whose solutions demonstrate commercial viability, feasibility and technical merit. The program also awards Phase II and Direct to Phase II contracts to firms with mature technologies that meet Phase I requirements.
Throughout the contracting period, businesses gain access to technical, acquisition and operational Army experts. These specialists provide insights into critical Army needs while guiding vendors within the Army science and technology ecosystem. Contractors collaborate with technical points of contact to refine their solutions for integration into Army acquisition programs.
