The U.S. Army Small Business Innovation Research Program published a new educational video offering viewers a look into the program and how small businesses can submit responsive, compliant and high-quality proposals for Army SBIR contracts.

On Jan. 25, the Army SBIR Program highlighted common process, formatting and other compliance errors that can cause proposal ineligibility for an award. During the virtual event, the team shared information on how firms can counter these errors and improve their chances for selection.

Additionally, the program provided businesses the opportunity to interact with the team to address their most pressing questions. You can view the full video on the Army SBIR|STTR YouTube channel here

The Army SBIR Program awards Phase I contracts to small and nontraditional businesses with solutions exhibiting technical merit and commercial potential. The program awards Phase II and Direct to Phase II contracts to businesses tackling Army needs with mature technologies capable of gaining increased federal support.

Small business selectees gain access to technical, acquisition and operational experts. These specialists offer information on the Army’s technological needs and guidance from the Army research and development ecosystem. Companies capitalize on this by collaborating with technical points of contact that serve as a resource for businesses while they mature their solutions for eventual insertion into Army acquisition programs
